The Little Princess: Magazine

A graphic design magazine layout created in Illustrator. The same quote from "The Little Princess" used in the previous project was recycled into a new illustration. This illustration is a great example of the golden spiral ratio being used.

This assignment asked that students take the same quote used in the previous assignment, The Little Princess: Quote, to create a two-page magazine layout that utilized imagery in a perfect ratio format.

I choose to create a more zoomed-out version of the image for the first project that showcased the entire city skyline instead of one house. I enjoyed learning how to use different visual formatting aids like the perfect ratio, which helps artists design their work to follow the natural path of the viewer’s sight.

By the end of this project, I could safely say that I had become proficient in the design program, Illustrator, and can use it without the need of tutorials or other aids.
